Pacquiao will be taking on Chris Algieri on 22 November 2014 in
Mecau, China for a HBO Pay Per-View for his Walterweight title
championship match. scroll below to see more details on date time and
tickets.
Manny Pacquiao’s next fight is confirmed as he will be returning to Chinese city Macau for his next walterweight title showdown against Algieri who defeated Ruslan Provodnikov in his last fight. It is more of a tune up fight just like he fought against Brandon Rios last year in november after two back to back defeats. Top Rank promoter Bob Arum failed to negotiate a deal with any big name and Chris Algieri who is coming off from a massive win against dangerous looking Provodnikov couple of months ago should be an easy fight for pacquiao.
———————————————————————————————————————————
The fight will be in the Macau “Mecca of gambling” in Asia in what will be a massive night for Algieri who will be looking to shock the world and get the biggest boxing scalp on his resume. It will be a HBO pay-per-view taking place in Cotai Arena at the Venetian Resort in Macau with WBO Welterweight Championship on the line.
Chris Algieri is an undefeated boxing with career record of 20-0, with 8 knockout outs, while Pacquiao is in the twilight of his career with 56 wins 5 losses and two draws. Algieri is more of an Orthodox boxer and he has the reach advantage over Pacquiao but experience wise he was only involved in 1 big fight which he won against Ruslan Provodnikov.
Chris Algieri is not a house hold name yet, was a very succesfull amature boxer and later turned to kickboxing. He started professional boxing back in 2008 and always fight in New York. He has this big 5 inch rach advantage over Pac-man and another factor is height. This is a much better fight than many people would tell you, it is surely not a walk in the part for Pacquiao and he will have to take this seriously.
